• System redundancy and ‘standard’ practices for Hub.

• Extended support to operators

• Exploit & promote additional capabilities of systems

• Updated BUFR message (consulted with users, additional metadata and uncertainty)

Summary (Authors View)

• Consider the End to End processes

• Applies to all systems, however big or small

• Early engagement with the user is highly recommended

• Resourcing and Timing is critical

• Ongoing process

• CWINDE has demonstrated that there can be a balance between Research and Operations BUT in the end we on the operational side of the fence are looking for routine, reliability and documented practices & change, to ensure we meet the User Requirements yet is affordable.
