    The Quick Access Toolbar

    The quick access toolbar isa customizable toolbar thatcontains commands thatyou frequently use.

    The Title BarNext to the Quick Access toolbar is the Title bar.

    The Title bar displays the title of the document on whichyou are currently working. Word names the first newdocument you open Document1. As you open additionalnew documents, Word names them sequentially. Whenyou save your document, you assign the document a newname.

    The Ribbon

    The Ribbon is the panel at the top portion of the document. It has seven tabs: Home, Insert, Page Layout, References, Mailings,

    Review, and View that contain many new and existing features ofWord.

    Each tab is divided into groups. The groups are logical collections offeatures designed to perform functions that you will utilize indeveloping or editing your Word document.

    Commonly used features are displayed on the Ribbon, to viewadditional features within each group, click on the arrow at the bottomright of each group.

    Each of the tabs contains the following tools: Home: Clipboard, Fonts, Paragraph, Styles, and Editing. Insert: Pages, Tables, Illustrations, Links, Header & Footer, Text,

    and Symbols Page Layout: Themes, Page Setup, Page Background,

    Paragraph, Arrange References: Table of Contents, Footnote, Citation &

    Bibliography, Captions, Index, and Table of Authorities

    Mailings: Create, Start Mail Merge, Write & Insert Fields,Preview Results, Finish

    Review: Proofing, Comments, Tracking, Changes, Compare,Protect

    View: Document Views, Show/Hide, Zoom, Window, Macros

    Understanding Document Views

    Draft View Draft view is the most frequently used view. You use Draft view toquickly edit your document.

    Web L ayout Web Layout view enables you to see your document as it wouldappear in a browser such as Internet Explorer.

    Pr in t Layou t The Print Layout view shows the document as it will look when it isprinted.

    Reading L ayout Reading Layout view formats your screen to make reading yourdocument more comfortable.

    Outlin e View Outline view displays the document in outline form. You can displayheadings without the text. If you move a heading, the accompanyingtext moves with it.

    2015) Personal title of your choice

    Past and future months (small size only) Include the holidays in red mark as well as the
