ASCE and Dimitry Labko, 2019 Co-op Student of the Year Co-op Students Recognized at the 2019 Reception and Dinner Graduating Swanson School of Engineering seniors were honored at the Recognition Reception and Dinner held on Friday, December 6, 2019, at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. Students who completed all co-op rotations received recognition from James R. Martin II, U.S. Steel Dean of Engineering. The graduates and their families, in addition to faculty and co-op employers, attended the event. Maureen Barcic, Cooperative Education program director, highlighted the accomplishments of the program for the 2018-2019 academic year. Dean Martin awarded each senior a certificate of completion from the Co-op Program. Barcic and Dean Martin awarded the 2019 Co-op Employer of the Year Award to Emerson. Accepting the award for Emerson were Kelly Sterniak, manager of talent management and development, and Caitlin Mabbett, manager of human resources information systems & human resources programs. Awards also were presented to acknowledge the co-ops’ successes in their work, academics, and communities.
