Acoustics Engineering
Forensic and Criminology Engineering
Involves Design and strategic decision making. It is the application of statistical and design principles.
Study of sound, optics, vibration and noise, how these are generated, their relationship to music and how they can be enhanced and suppressed.
Step 5, 6, 7-Focus, Delegate & PrototypeApplied StrategicGame Engineering The investigation
and analysis of criminal cases, as well as the reconstruction of failures in buildings, structures, vehicles, and other systems

Students:When accidents or malfunctions happen, I am
curiousas to why and how.
Employers:I believe there exists a sufficiently large market for
theinvestigation and reconstruction of crimes and engineering failures.
Family & friends:Well-designed games are important in a child’sdevelopment, both physically and mentally.
(Scale: 1 – strongly disagree, 7 – strongly agree)

Forensics and Criminology Engineering
The teaching and research activities of the Department of Forensics and Criminology Engineering (F&CE) concern the investigation and analysis of criminal cases, as well as the reconstruction of accidents and failures in machines, structures, and other systems.

Due to its multidisciplinary nature, F&CE has been broken down into three specialized paths:
- Option I Failure Analysis
- Option II Bio-Chemical Analysis
- Option III Computer Forensics

Comments of prototype
““CCreativity to the nereativity to the neXXt power”t power”
“In my first year, I don’t feel that I am informed enough to help me decide on which specific area I want to pursue, so that I can take the prerequisites that I need to take”.
- Andres (MCB)
“I’m curious to hear from professionals in this field because I don’t know much about it”.
- Natalie (ME)
“Is Law Enforcement an Engineering practice?”
- Dan (EECS)
Step 9-Refinements
•A F&CE freshman seminar was added to give students an opportunity to explore the 3 F&CE options
•The 4 sub-majors were reduced to 3 because investigation and law enforcement were not considered engineering disciplines
•A course in engineering ethics is now to be taken in the second year instead of the fourth year.

Conclusions
1. Survey: ask questions that a person cannot automatically say “yes” or “no” to. Creating a survey is not as easy as we thought.
2. “Persona” should also be given in the context of the user, employer and professor
3. During brainstorming, keep all ideas. After you eliminate an idea, it may still be used later on, specially after feedback.
