needed the money for his army.

Sacajawea traveled with Lewis and Clark for part of the journey.She was a Shoshone Indian woman.She helped Lewis and Clark get horses from the Shoshone Indians and translated with other native Americans. Sacajawea had brought her new born baby on the journey and Clark called him Pompom.
