Siberia wouldn’t be Siberia without the powerful river - the Yenisei. Its length is 3487 kilometres. The Yenisei is the natural border between the Western and Eastern Siberia

The Yenisei is the most abundant river in Russia.

The serious environmental problems came after the construction of Krasnoyarsk and Sayan hydroelectric power stations. Large areas were flooded and many monuments were destroyed. There were even the climate changes.

There are a lot of different animals in the Yenisei basin – from camels in the south to polar bears in the north, where the river reaches Karsk sea.

A lot of different kinds of fish live in the Yenisei.

The most important are sturgeon, white salmon, beluga.

The Yenisei is a good place for relaxing.
