INTRODUCING THE TRAINEES LOG BOOK Welcome to the training program of the Egyptian Board of Psychiatry. The training is in the workplace (on job training) and will be assessed in the workplace.

The trainees must keep and update their logbooks where they record all activities and skills per-formed and learned during the training program. The trainer and finally the educational supervisor should counter sign each training activity registered in the logbook. The candidates must keep the evidence of all their activities for assessment of the quality of perfor-mance .The log book should be delivered yearly to the committee of Egyptian Board of Psychiatry.

Competency in learning and practice are based on integration and interaction of the triad of knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Knowledge, skills and attitudes required in the process of training are further discussed in your curric-ulum book.

Curriculum book should be reviewed during the process of training as well as during recording your scientific activities.

Note that any curriculum can only represent the current state of educational expectation. Therefore, all professionals should maintain a positive attitude towards lifelong education and self-directed learning. Review your curriculum details for essential skills and attitudes. However, the following skills and attitudes are further mentioned here to highlight their importance.
