Introduction
Safety in industry is the state of being "safe"physical and occupational

Objectives
1- To develop awareness among engineers and employees of the importance of safety precautions in industry, knowledge of scientific methods to analyze accidents and injuries,
2- To know fire types and the scientific principles of their initiation, propagation, control, , and extinguishing.
3- To know how explosions occur , how to prevent their occurrence and reduce their hazards,
4- To develop awareness of the hazards of dust, noise, and radiation on human health,
5- To develop awareness of the hazards of toxic, corrosive and carcinogenic chemicals, and their safe storage, handling, transportation and use,
6- To develop expertise in the applications of engineering principles and tools to resolve design problems in fire and fire safety applications.
7- To enable engineers and workers to assess risks and devise protection strategies as they relate to fire and explosions,
Who should attend?
This workshop is of great importance to engineers, safety officers, operators, employees, co-workers and fire-fighting staff in the industry of: Oil and gas, fertilizers, chemicals, plastic, polymers, paints, cement and quarries.

He is the dean of EngineeringAl-Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University, and holds a PhD in Chemical and Material Engineering from Oregon State University 1990. He has a strong background in chemical, material, nuclear and modeling of corrosion engineering in desalination plants and at high temperature. He is a member in several professional societies as American Nuclear Society (life-time member), Corrosion Society, NACE International and ASM International.
Prof. Abdullah I. Almarshadconferences and published 50 technical reports and papers in refereed indexed journals. He taught and supervised graduate students at both M.Sc and PhD Levels.
