Subject รูปประธาน 2. Object รูปกรรม 3. Possessive รูปสําหรับแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ ซึ ่งแยกออกเป็น -Possessive Adjective ใช้นําหน้าคํานาม -Possessive Pronoun ใช้ตามลําพัง subject Object Possessive Adjective Pronoun I We You He She If They Me Us You Him Her It Them My Our Your His Her Its Their Mine Ours Yours His Hers - theirs

(หนงสอเลมหนง) , some children (เดกๆ กลมหนง) เราจะใช my, your, his, etc. นาหนาคานาม
นนๆ อกไมได
ถาตองการจะพดวา “เพอนคนหนงของฉน” หรอ “หนงสอของเขาเลมหนง” ตองใช a
friend (a book) + of + Possessive Pronoun (mine, his, etc.) ในลกษณะดงน

โดยปกตการใช Possessive Pronoun ในแบบ a friend of mine น มกจะมคณศพทขยายนามตว
หนาอยดวย และเราอาจใช this, that, these, those แทน a, an และ some ไดดวย เชน
an old friend of mine
that old friend of mine
those old friends of mine
etc.

A จงเขยนประโยคใหมโดยใช a, an + noun + of + Possessive Pronoun แทน
Possessive Adjective + noun ทพมพดวยตวเอนดา
Examples : My Friend is coming today.
- A friend of mine is coming today.
That boy is Tom’s cousin.
- That boy is a cousin of Tom’s.

2. My uncle lives in your town. An uncle of mine lives in your town.
3. Her friend is coming from America. A friend of hers is coming from America.
4. Our servant is going home in the country2. A servant of ours is going home in the
country.
5. Their aunt speaks French very well. An aunt of theirs French very well.
6. He’s staying with his friend in town. He’s staying with a friend of his in town.
7. I met your nephew yesterday. I met a nephew of yours yesterday.
8. I’ll invite my cousin to dinner. I’ll invite a cousin of mine to dinner.
9. He’ll sell his old horse tomorrow. (=He’ll sell an…) He’ll sell an old horse of his
tomorrow.
10. That boy isn’t my son. That boy isn’t a son of mine.
11. Tom’s old friend is coming to see him. An old friend of Tom’s is coming to see him.
12. James’s sister lives in Thailand. A sister of James’s lives in Thailand.
13. This is Jane’s great idea1. This is a great idea of Jane’s.
14. I’ll see Dick’s brother tomorrow. I’ll see a brother of Dick’s tomorrow.
15. That policeman is my father’s cousin. That policeman is a cousin of my father’s.
1 หายไป, ขาดไป 2 ( to, in ) the country = (ไป, ใน) ชนบท, บานนอก
B จงเขยนประโยคใหมโดยใช some + noun + of + Possessive Pronoun แทน Possessive
Adjective + noun ทพมพดวยตวเอนดา
Examples : My friends are coming today.
- Some friends of mine are coming today.
Tom’s books are missing.
- Some books of Tom’s are missing .
1. My books are in your bag. Some books of mine are in your bag.
2. Our servants are going home in the country. Some servant of ours are going home in
the country.
3. His friends have Siamese cats. Some friends of his have Siamese cats.
4. I’ll invite my cousins to dinner. I’ll invite some cousins of mine to dinner.
5. He’ll buy their cows tomorrow. He’ll buy some cows of theirs tomorrow.
6. Those are his great ideas. Those are some great ideas of his.
7. She gives him her roses every day. She gives him some roses of hers every day.
8. These are Henry’s old friends. These are some old friends of Henry’s
9. Those are the Smiths’ children. Those are some children of the Smiths’
10. I want to but Mr Taylor’s horses. I want to buy some horses of Mr taylor’s.
