Frog Dissection
$3.99 I have been using this app in my
science classroom. This is an interesting app that will let
students get to experience dissection without giving them a scalpel. Students explore the internal organs of the frog without the mess.
Owl Pellets
Free I use this app in my science classroom
when we talk about food chains and webs.
Interesting app for exploring owl pellets with many media components. It has bone identification, owl history, skeleton diagrams, videos, and a place to purchase owl pellets. Very, very useful.

Free I use this app in my science lab. Excellent app for timing up to 16
different groups or labs at the same time.

3 D Brain
Free I got this for personal use, but the
students in my classes like to look at it. A bit advanced for upper elementary
and junior high students, this app would better be fit for older students. It shows all of the different portions of the brain and gives information about them as well.
Coaster Physics
$0.99 I found this app and thought is would
be cool in the classroom. The kids love it.
This app has several roller coasters that the you can watch and see the potential energy, kinetic energy, acceleration, Gforce, and more. This app also has the ability to build your own roller coaster. Really neat.

Rat Dissection
$3.99 I downloaded this app for my science
classroom. This is an excellent app for dissection
so that you do not have to actually dissect a real rat. It lets the students have the opportunity to dissect and learn about the rat internal organs without giving them a scalpel.
Parallel Circuits
Free I have reviewed this app for my
classroom. This app is excellent when discussing
parallel circuits in the science classroom. It offers information about these types of circuits and also allows the player to construct parallel circuits in a game type mode. The player must construct the circuit as described before moving on.

Free at the point in time I heard about this app in a workshop
that I went to. This app has life science trivia,
flashcards, and a game called Word Fly. In Word Fly, the player can practice vocabulary through catching the letters to the vocabulary words with the tongue of an iguana (game is somewhat like Hangman).

Free I found this app at the TCEA website. This app allows the viewer to see
earthquakes in real time. Colored dots show intensity, locations, and time of the most recent earthquakes.

Free I found this app at the TCEA website. This is a great app that gives access to
short science videos. The videos show how set up and complete experiments and investigations. They make science fun and easy.
I Learn With Poko: Seasons and Weather! HD
$2.99 I found this app at the TCEA website. This app is meant for very young
children. I starts to give children the basis for seasons and what happens during each season.
Leafsnap
Free I found this app at the TCEA website. Very cool app for use in the field. It
lets you take a picture of a leaf with your ipad camera and upload it. Then it uses photo recognition to determine what type of tree the leaf came from.
Electricity 101: The Animated TextVook
$4.99 I found this app at the TCEA website. This animated book shows all you need
to know about electricity while making it exciting.

content, this app allows the investigation of cells, the structures, and functions.

iLearn Solar System
$0.99 I found this app myself. This app explores the Solar System. It
is probably more suitable for younger students or children because it is a cartoon type setting. However, it is very informative.
First Bird Book
Free I found this app myself. This is a neat app book that allows
smaller children to learn about all types of books while also learning about the alphabet.

$1.99 I found this app at the TCEA website. A really neat app that describes the
moon phases and different facts about the moon and the sun.

Quickoffice Pro HD
$19.99 I found this app on my own when. This is not a science app in and of
itself. However, this app is usefully as a daily tool for the science classroom for making notes, showing presentations, and viewing science videos.
