COMMENT: My daughter was involved and enjoyed the gymnastics program. I have pulled her from the program as I did with ballet due to the location in the Chili’s party room. This is not an appropriate location for these classes. There isn’t enough room for the number of children in neither the ballet class nor the gymnastics class, and there is gambling and alcohol sales in the same building. There has been no information provided in

regards to the amount of time the classes will be held in this location. Hence the reason I’ve pulled her from the programs. Hopefully a new more appropriate location can be used in the near future.

RESPONSE: The space formerly used by the children’s ballet and gymnastics class was in the CDC annex, which is in the process of demolition. To continue the class, Youth

Programs looked into available spaces, and the room in the Chili’s Family Restaurant building was determined to be the best t. The room next to Chili’s Family Restaurant is actually larger than the previous gymnastics room, and MWR is ordering a dance oor as well as sofas for parents to observe. It will take a little time to get all of the permanent xtures in place. The restaurant and slot areas are isolated in self-contained

spaces in di erent areas of the building. Gymnastics classes were set up exactly as previously run in terms of class size, time and date. We will evaluate the program during the rst month and possibly suggest changes based on those observations. The classes will be held in this building inde nitely as there are simply no other available open spaces to accommodate them.
