Born in Summit, Mrs. Calabrese lived in Italy for many years before returning to Summit and residing there for more than 50 years. Harriet Cosimano Harriet C. Elliott Cosimano, 85, of Union died April 8at home. Born in Newark, Mrs. Cosi- mano lived in the Vailsburg section of Newark and in Maplewood from 1973 to 1999, when she moved to Union. Before retiring, she was employed as a food service worker with Seton Hall University, South Orange, from 1971 to 1986. Mrs. Cosimano was a past member of St. Church's Church Rainbow Ciub, Maplewood, and the Maplewood Senior Citizens No. 1. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Rodden; a son, David W., and four grandchildren. The Jacob Holle Funeral Home, Maplewood, handled the arrange- ments. Jiacondina DiMuccio Jiacondina Anna DiMuccio. 84, of Summit died April 8 in Morris- town Memorial Hospital. Born in New Providence, Mrs. DiMuccio has remained a Summit resident for most of her life. She worked as a parking attendant for the city of Summit for 20 years before retiring in 2001. Mrs. DiMuccio also worked as an assis- tant dietician for the Kent Place School, Summit, for more than 20 Golden Age Club of Summit, and with her late husband, Dominic Antonio, was a longtime volunteer for the Summit Republican Party. John Dulemba John K. Dulemba, 79, of Linden died April 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Dulemba lived in Linden since 1951. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and served with the 3rd Infantry Division. Mr. Dulemba was a sher- iff's officer for the Union County Sheriff Department in Elizabeth for 31 years and retired in 1991. Dur- ing his employment, he was a recipient of two commendation awards, a distinguished service cer- tificate and two commendation let- ters. Mr. Dulemba was a member of the Police Benevolent Association Local 600 and Police Benevolent Association Local 108. He also was a member of the Honor Legion of Police Departments of New Jersey and the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 91 of Elizabeth. Surviving is a daughter, Jennifer Dulemba. Bom in Virginia, Va., Mrs. Good lived in Newark before moving to the Vauxhall section of Union. She worked as an assistant to the late Meyer Ellenstein, mayor of Newark. Mrs. Good retired after 27 years from Western Electric as an inspector of electrical components. Surviving are three sons, William. Gladys Jeannot Gladys Jeannot, 62, of Roselle died April 5at home. Born in Haiti, Mrs. Jeannot came to the United States in 1972, lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Eliza- beth, before settling in Roselle 35 years ago. She was employed by the Woodbridge Developmental Center, Avenel. Melvina Johnson Melvina R. Johnson, 75, of Rah- way died on April 1. Born in Norfolk, Va., Mrs. John- son resided in Linden before mov- ing to Rahway three years ago. She was the supervisor of reception for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office for 20 years. Mrs. Johnson also was an administrative assistant for Runnells Specialized Hospital of Union County, Berkeley Heights. Surviving are a son, Terence, and three sisters, Selena Hayes, Roslyn Turner and Jocelyn Wilkins. Elizabeth Martucci Elizabeth Ann Martucci, 78, of Linden died April 5at home. Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Martuc- ci moved to Linden 55 years ago. She was employed by Direct Photo, Roselle, in costumer service for many years before retiring in 1996. Mrs. Martucci was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child, Linden. Surviving are four daughters, Linda Koester, Janice and Patricia Martucci and Kristine Martucci- Kwiakowski, and a grandchild. Born in Bebington, Cheshire, England, Mrs. O'Brien came to the United States in 1954 and lived in Bayonne before moving to Rahway in 1960. She was a graduate of Hull Teachers College, Hull, England. Mrs. O'Brien was employed by the Rahway Board of Education as a special education teacher in Roo- sevelt School for many years before retiring. She was in charge of the Rahway Special Education Summer Program for many years. Mrs. O'Brien was a member of the ARC of Union County. She was a member of the 6th Ward Democratic Union, Rahway, where she was a past president. Mrs. O'Brien was a committee- woman for the Union County Democrats. She was a founding member and volunteer for Union County Performing Arts Center and was a founding member of New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark. Mrs. O'Brien served on the Rahway Welfare Board for many years. Surviving are four daughters, Susan Elizabeth O'Brien, Kathryn Bernadette Jacobi, and Caroline Ann and Geraldine M. O'Brien; two sons, Kevin A. and Christopher E.; a sister, Rita Harrison, and 10 grandchildren. Grace Sales Grace L. Sales, 90, of Roselle died April 5 in the Delaire Nursing & Convalescent Center, Linden. Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Sales lived in Roselle since 2000. Dorothy Weinberg Dorothy Friedman Weinberg, 93, of Springfield died April 9 in Clifton. Born in Newark, Mrs. Weinberg lived in ManlewooH for manv vears before moving to Springfield. She co-owned Trans Travel Inc. and the Tour and Cruise Connection, a trav- el agency in Springfield and Short Hills, along with her late husband, Selig, and their son, Arthur. Mrs. Weinberg was an ardent supporter of the State of Israel and active in Dorot Zion, Hadassah and Pioneer Women. She volunteered for the Kidney Foundation for many years. Also surviving are another son, Joseph; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. James Welsh James William Welsh, 87, of Summit died April 6 in Morris- town. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning at the Uni- tarian Church, Summit. Mr. Welsh was a graduate of Morristown High School. He received a bachelor's degree from Pratt Institute, New York. Mr. Welsh obtained many patents in the electro-mechanical and automotive multi-fuel fields. He was the presi- dent and founder of Welflash, Inc., Linden, manufacturing directional signals. From 1969 until his retire- ment, Mr. Welsh developed new products for Standard Motor Prod- ucts, New York. Surviving are his wife, Marie; a son, Jonathan; a daughter, Laurie Joffe, and three grandchildren. Ruth Williams Ruth Williams, 95, of Union died April 4 in the Cornell Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Union. Born in Newark Mrs Williams lived in Union for many years. She worked at Picatinny Arsenal and retired 30 years ago. Surviving are three brothers, Julian E., Louis S. and Robert H. Freeman, anda sister, Bernice Gladden. Emil Zdziarski Emil J. Zdziarski, 79, of Linden died April 5 in the Delaire Nursing & Convalescent Center, Linden. Born in Newark, Mr. Zdziarski lived in Linden for most of his life. He served in the Army during peacetime. Mr. Zdziarski was a member of the Linden City Demo- cratic Club and past president of the 8th Ward Democratic Club. He was a license inspector for the city of Linden and retired in 2000. Surviving arehis wife of 47 years, Barbara; two daughters, Debra Quevedo and Jacqueline Dos Santos, and two grandchildren.
