Provides a rich, data-centric analytical environment with investigative analysis in mind.
Designed for a single user
Combines Analyst’s Notebook analytical capabilities with a single user analytical repository for storing rich & vetted intelligence
Can be optionally upgraded to serve as the rich desktop client for IAP (in this case the local repository is substituted for a global repository with advanced collaborative functionality)
Extended Infotips•Infotips first introduced into Analyst’s Notebook at 8.9.5•Presents the user with a summary about the data behind an entity such as attributes, cards, data records & description•Extended to provide commonly used Premium commands•Commands differ based on whether item exists within the repository
Visual Query•Allows a user to create a visual shape of the question. •Single entities through to complex networks containing indirect relationships can be defined without the need to learn complex query languages. •Any number of properties can be assigned to entity and link types to hone the results.•Query definitions can be saved for reuse and shared across the operation community to reduce duplicating effort. •Analysis Repository permissions can be placed on the definitions, or similar queries can be grouped to assist with their management.
Merge•Chart merging allow a user to test hypotheses for whether two or more entities are actually referencing the same item. If this hypothesis is proved the user can apply the same merge on the repository by choosing one item as the master record and merging the other items data into it – this could include properties, cards, data records and links.
Data Acquisiton (Only when used in collaboration with IAP)
Analyst’s Notebook Premium has capabilities built-in for interacting with 3 rd party data source when used within IAP. For more information on this functionality see the white paper. ( IBM i2 Intelligence Analysis Platform
