The Board of the YMCA of Saskatoon has been actively working at pursuing
a number of strategic priorities. To enhance member experience, renova-
tions have been completed to the main level fitness areas, with the addition a new fitness studio and new cardio equipment.
To strengthen our impact in the commu-nity, we have added child care spots to the downtown facility, are partnering with the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon to place a 90-spot child care in the proposed Kinsmen Learning Commons on 20th Street between Avenues L and M, and are looking at future child care opportunities in other areas of the city.
To secure a role for serving a greater portion of our community, and future generations of YMCA members, we are working at a partnership with the
City of Saskatoon for the development of a downtown leisure centre to be operated as a YMCA. These discussions are ongoing with the City and other potential partners, such as the Saskatoon Tribal Council, for the needs assessment, project planning, financial and operating responsibilities.
As with most projects of this nature, the process takes time and energy. This is an exciting opportunity for the Saskatoon YMCA.
All of these initiatives are to position the YMCA as a charity of choice in our community.
The YMCA of Saskatoon has much to offer our community as we continue to develop individuals, especially youth, in spirit, mind and body.

Community BuildingWe deliver high-quality programs to community par-ticipants in and beyond our facilities, using our staff and volunteer leadership and working with local and global community partners.
Member ServicesThe YMCA’s Vision commits it to providing excellent member programs and services, guided by YMCA standards, delivered by caring, knowledgeable, and well-trained volunteers and staff.
YMCA BrandThere is a spirit of optimism as we look to the future and the great potential of our highly valued YMCA.
We need to communicate the value that the YMCA brings to its community, differentiating the YMCA from other providers of similar services by acknowledging its charitable purpose, values based programs, and partnerships with those who have similar goals and values.
ContributingBy giving their time, talent, and treasure, our mem-bers and friends are optimistic and generous. Driven by the belief that amazing things happen when peo-ple come together, we are always striving to increasethe participation levels of our caring donors and volunteers.
Strategic Priorities
The YMCA offers opportunities for health, personal growth, and community service.
Mission Statement
Core ValuesWe believe in: • The worth of all individuals • Access and equal opportunity for all • Investing in children and youth
• Service to others • Honesty, Respect, Caring, Acceptance, Responsibility, and Fairness
