Year 4 Residential6th – 8th July

How will the children travel to Hooke Court?

• Leave school by coach at approximately 9.30am on Wednesday 6th July

• Arrive at Charmouth beach to Fossil hunt!

What will be the sleeping arrangements?

• Children will be sleeping in single sex dormitories of 4 to 8.

• Children will be able to nominate 2 children who they would like to share with.

• We will ensure they are with at least one of their friends.

What will be the sleeping arrangements?

An example of the sleeping arrangements are below.

Staff will be spread evenly along the corridor.

What activities will the children be taking part in?

During the visit the children will take part in a variety of activities linked to Coastal defences

For example:– Walk at Lulworth Cove– Coastal defence work at West Bay– A day out at Lyme Regis

– Evening activities: Shell Craft and Barn Dance

LunchA packed lunch is provided for each day of your stay.

What will the food be like?Evening Meal*

A hot evening meal is provided.Example menus:

Pasta with a home made Mediterranean vegetable pesto, served with cheese and garlic bread.

Yorkshire pudding with sausage, potato wedges, carrots, peas and gravy.

Sweet & sour pork and ricePuddings:

Fruit crumble and custardJam sponge and custard

Rice pudding with jam sauce*Salad and fresh fruit are available at all evening meals.

If your child has any food intolerances, we will be sending out an allergy form closer to the trip

Cost• The residential visit costs £125 per child• We have to add the cost of coaches to this which depend

on number of children and therefore how many coaches are needed (approx. £30)

• Children have been given a deposit letter, the non-refundable deposit will guarantee your child's place for the trip – there are only 54 places

• The Deposit (£20) is due by November 30th

• Deposits will only be accepted from tomorrow morning• We will then issue a payment card so payments can be

spread out• Full payment must be made by 27th May (before half term)
