Working with 3D Models - Setup

1. If you haven’t already, install and activate Media Library Assistant:• https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-library-assistant/

2. In WordPress Admin, go to Settings and then Media Library Assistant

3. Click the Uploads tab4. Click the Search Known Types button at the bottom5. Search for “stl”6. Hover your mouse over the first result and click the “Select”

option that appears.7. On the next page, browse through the list of file types and make

sure stl appears as an option.

Configure WordPress to allow the upload of 3D Models in stl format:

1. Install and activate the STL Viewer Plugin:• https://wordpress.org/plugins/stl-viewer/

2. In WordPress admin deactivate the plugin, then reactivate it.3. Upload your .stl file to the Media section of WordPress4. Find the URL of your uploaded .stl file5. In your Page or Post, use this shortcode:

• [stl file="/2016/09/filename.stl" ]6. Note that you should not include the whole URL. Just use

the part starting with the year.
