Burgos is a fifth class municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the most northwestern town on the island of Luzon. It was formerly known as Nagpartianand was renamed after the martyred priest Jose Burgos who, together with two other clergymen, were accused of mutiny and later executed in Manila. He was born in the Ilocos Region. According to the latest census, it has a population of 8,765 people in 1,784 households
