About Wolff Medical
Our history as designers and manufacturers of pharmaceutical promotional
products dates to the early 1980’s when Stephen H. Wolff founded Wolff
Marketing Group, Inc. Wolff’s products had great impact and enhanced the
success of many billion-dollar brands such as Procardia XL, Zyrtec, Viagra, Norvasc, Glucotrol XL, and Lipitor. This success was credited to Wolff
Marketing Group Inc.’s ability to produce high-quality products in a timely manner
and also Stephen Wolff’s honesty and integrity that built lasting professional
relationships. Eventually, Wolff Marketing Group, Inc. had a staff of 35
employees with annual sales exceeding $15 million dollars. The company
boasted over 100 patented, custom-designed promotional products for the
industry, including many – like the original stethoscope tag – that are still used
today.
After selling Wolff Marketing Group, Inc. to Halo, Inc. in 1997, Wolff started Wolff
Medical Marketing & Design LLC, a venture that complimented his
pharmaceutical experience and his expertise in building plastic-injected molds
and creating custom products. In addition to pharmaceutical clients like Pfizer, Fujisawa, Forest Laboratories, Novartis, Sankyo, TAP Pharmaceuticals, Eisai and Schering-Plough, Wolff Medical’s client base expanded to
include such reputable corporations like Tommy Hilfiger, Au Bon Pain, Boston Market, 7-Eleven, Elizabeth Arden, and Super Pantry. Wolff Medical has
received a nationally recognized design award for its innovative designs.

Executive Management
Stephen H. Wolff, President For over twenty-five years, Stephen Wolff has personally played a key role as
both pioneer and leader in pharmaceutical marketing. Wolff helped establish a
new “dimensional” advertising venue for the drug industry at a time when there
were strict governmental regulations on traditional advertising mediums – print,
radio, and television.
After the sale of Wolff Medical Marketing to Halo, Inc., Wolff continued to
research and travel throughout the United States, Europe and China. He sourced
new vendors and products and reinforced relationships with existing suppliers.
This allowed him to stay current with the drug industry’s changing needs and
afforded him the opportunity to perfect his resources.
Wolff established Wolff Medical Marketing & Design to “get back to his passion”
and work once again in the health care industry. “This is where I really want to
be,” Wolff states, “I’m sure this desire stems from my teenage job in a pharmacy
where I learned first-hand, the importance of medication and the ways it
affected people.”
Wolff is credited with over 100 patented, custom-designed promotional products
for the pharmaceutical industry.
Management Team
Wolff Medical Marketing & Design also has an extremely talented pool of
employees. Several seasoned veterans from the original Wolff Marketing Group
have rejoined the company in the areas of sales, design, finance and logistics.
Wolff has been very selective in building a new sales force by hiring a former
pharmaceutical sales representative to his staff. This strategy brings both
knowledge and experience in creating new ideas for custom products. We are
able to bring a first-hand understanding of the inner workings of a doctor’s office
and have an intimate understanding of what a pharmaceutical sales rep really
needs to enhance their efforts in promoting and selling new drugs.

Case Studies
Pfizer: ZYRTEC Dust Mite / Pollen / Dander Study
Background: ZYRTEC is a prescription medicine that treats both indoor and
outdoor allergy symptoms, as well as chronic hives.
Challenge: Physician’s patients were unable to fully understand the concept of
microscopic allergens and their effects to the respiratory system. In addition,
Pfizer wanted to communicate that ZYRTEC is an effective antihistamine against
a broad spectrum of allergens.
• Dust Mite Solution: Wolff Medical designed a paperweight water toy that
featured a large floating dust mite to illustrate the image of the microscopic
insect.
• Dander Solution: Wolff Medical designed a paperweight water toy that
featured a large floating cat set against a background of a living room to
demonstrate how dander is released into the home environment.
• Pollen Solution: Wolff Medical designed a paperweight water toy that
featured several large floating pollen set against a background of foliage
to demonstrate how the microscopic allergen appears and how pollen is
released into the environment.
Case Studies
Schering-Plough: CLARITIN RediTabs Study
Background: CLARITIN RediTabs Tablets product is the fastest melting allergy
product available. It delivers all-day, non-drowsy allergy relief in a quickly-
dissolving tablet. In addition, CLARITIN RediTabs Tablets are available for
children ages 6 and up.
Challenge: CLARITIN RediTabs Tablets dissolve within 15 seconds to provide
faster allergy relief. Our challenge was to provide the client with innovative and
informative solutions that would educate physicians and patients and highlight
the fast-acting speed of this product.
• Solution # 1: Wolff Medical designed an innovative wall clock that
featured the likeness of a CLARITIN RediTabs Tablet on the second hand
that would gradually “dissolve” after 15 seconds.
• Solution # 2: Wolff Medical designed a stylized paperweight hourglass
timer set to run for 15 seconds.
• Solution # 3: Wolff Medical designed an educational model of the
CLARITIN RediTabs Tablet that featured the various layers and
explanations of the product’s composition.
Case Studies
Pfizer: ZITHROMAX Z Pack Study
Background: Zithromax is an antibiotic used most often to treat respiratory
infections in children and adults. For adult patients, these infections include
bacterial bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia. Zithromax can also be
used to treat skin infections and some sexually transmitted diseases in adults. In
children, Zithromax treats some ear infections and pharyngitis/tonsillitis.
Challenge: To graphically illustrate the speed and effectiveness of Zithromax’s 5
day/5 dose therapy over similar medications that typically required a 30-day or
extended treatment.
Solution: Wolff Medical designed a clear acrylic rectangular paperweight that
displayed the likeness of 5 Zithromax tablets to effectively communicate the
remarkable speed and effectiveness of this medication.
