• More reliable/stable than Windows 95/98• Provides more security than Windows 98• Microsoft claims it is faster for certain tasks than

Windows 98

But...

• More resources than Windows 95/98– NT4: Pentium with 16 meg (32 meg recommended)

– Windows98: 486/66 with 16 meg

• Hardware compatibility is an issue• For differences between NT and 95 see

Different flavours of NT4

– Includes services such as
