The Directed Reading Program (DRP) is run by graduate math students for undergraduate math andscience students. Each undergraduate mentee is paired with a graduate mentor, with whom the menteemeets weekly to discuss their reading of a topic in mathematics. Near the end of the semester, thementees give a talk on what they’ve learned at the DRP Final Project Presentations. For more detailsand sample project topics, see:

What is DRP?

In order to participate in the DRP program,you must:

•be an undergraduate student,•have taken a math course involving proofs

(e.g. Math 185 or Math 217),•be willing to meet with your mentor once

per week, and spend 4 hours per weekworking on your project,

•be available on the evening of December 3for the DRP Final Project Presentations.
