When you’re trying to sell your home, your goal is to get as many potential

buyers in the door as possible

When a house has great curb appeal, buyers will want to make

an appointment to see it.

Here are 10 easy tricks to make

your home’s curb appeal SOAR!

1. Your front yard must be immaculately landscaped. Trim and edge your lawn. No weeds, no dead branches. New mulch. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but it does have to be neat.

2. Sweep your front porch, pathway, and sidewalk daily

3. Put out a new colorful welcome mat.

4. Paint your front door so it looks clean and bright.

5. Wash the windows in the front of the house.

6. The light fixtures in the front of your house must be in working condition and should provide soft lighting to all walkways and stairs without causing a glare. Take down the fixture and clean it, or replace it.

7. Buy a new mailbox and new hardware for the front door, including a house number that is easily seen.

8. Plant yellow flowers or use yellow accents. The color yellow sells.

9. Power wash the front of the house to remove dirt.

10. Maintain a neat and clean place for your garbage cans out of view of the front of the house.
