By the end of the webinar, you will be able to:
• Describe the requirements of the Youth Advocacy grant data collection and reporting
• Access the Youth Advocacy grant data collection and reporting forms online
• Be familiar with steps for completing the required forms
Objectives
• Purpose: To increase the number of children ages 7-17 served by volunteers in the court and community beyond prior year’s level and for youth served to improve work and study skills, self care and social support.
• Grant Period: June 1, 2014 – May 31, 2015
• 39 Youth Advocacy new grantees

Volunteers• Recruited, trained, activated and retained
Youth• Served, improved life skills, success in
school and delinquency involvement
Importance of Reporting
To show outputs and outcomes in relation to:
• State and local program page
• Reporting tools
• 2014 Youth Advocacy (Local and State), Fostering Futures Training and Evidence Based Enhancements Grantee Reporting
Data Collection and Reporting
Questions so far?
•Measures changes in youth life skills over time
•Completed by youth and advocate
•Youth ages 14 and older
•Completed within two months of volunteer assignment to case and at one year or case closure – whichever comes first
•New paper version available online
Youth Life Skills Assessment
• All grantees are required to use the tracking sheet provided by National CASA
•Auto-populated reports correspond directly to the semiannual grantee report
•Does the work for you
•No trying to figure out how to calculate what numbers to report
Grantee Report Tracking Sheet
•New Volunteers: A volunteer who is new to your program, in that they have not completed the recruitment, training, or swearing in process.
•Existing Volunteers: These are your veteran volunteers, who have already served kids in the past, or completed the recruitment, training or swearing in process outside of or before the grant.
“New” vs. “Existing” Volunteers
Ineligible Youth
•If a child/youth is not eligible to be tracked under the grant, they should not be entered into the tracking sheet.
•They may be part of a sibling group that contains children/youth who meet the grant requirements, but if they themselves do not meet the requirements, they should not be tracked.

•Instructions on how to copy information from one document to another are available online as well
