MIT-WPU Faculty of Engineering is introducing a minorin Computer Engineering along with pursuing theirmajor in their chosen BTech specialisation.
To earn the minor in Computer Engineering(CE), the student should acquire an additional20 credits defined for a minor in CE.
With minors in Computers, student will getwide job opportunities in core Engineering aswell as IT sectors.
This will enable the students togain an expertise in two differentdisciplines.
These credits are in addition to the mandatory168 credits of the BTech Program at MIT-WPU inwhich the student is admitted.
The students can take up the minorafter the successful completion oftheir first year.
After a successful completion of 168 + 20 credits, such students will have transcripts and grade sheets which will confirmtheir BTech in chosen engineering specialization along with a Minor in Computer Engineering.

Welcome to the School of Mechanical Engineering (SoME) at MIT-World Peace University!
Mechanical engineers have an important role to play in practically every industry; be itautomotive, aerospace, chemical, process or electronics. Be it sports, medical or any productdevelopment; mechanical engineers contribute to it substantially.
Mechanical engineers deal with thermal and fluid science, material science, design, manufacturing and maintenance of products, systems and processes over entire product lifecycle. In todays’ world, role of mechanical engineer has expanded from conventional design andmanufacturing job to offering solutions to complex interdisciplinary problems.
Mechanicalengineers have to form and lead professional teams across the globe to achieve this. We at MITWPU School of Mechanical Engineering strive to imbibe in our students the skills needed in thesestupendous tasks.
School of Mechanical Engineering is a flagship school of MIT-WPU right from its inception in 1983.With highly experienced faculty and state- of-the-art laboratories, we impart fundamentalknowledge as well as core skills in the areas of mechanical, thermal and electromechanicalsystems. The school also provides ample opportunities to experience the excitement of nationaland international technical events. School has two students’ organizations; ASME [Association ofStudents of Mechanical Engineering] and SAE [Society of Automotive Engineers] students’chapter. Sound support to BAJA, SUPRA, Go Cart and Robocon and many other teams and strongefforts to develop all-round personality of our students have always been the pillars of ourreputation.
School of Mechanical Engineering has ongoing research projects in the areas of PolymerComposites, Solar-Thermal Engineering, Fatigue and Fracture Analysis, Robotics and Refrigeration& Air Conditioning. We encourage undergraduate students to participate in these research effortsthrough mini projects. Graduates from our school are employed in premier MechanicalEngineering industries and a good number pursues higher studies in renowned universitiesabroad as well as IITs and NITs in India.
Our founder’s vision includes strengthening the freedom of our great nation by building winningpersonalities out of our students. I welcome you to the School of Mechanical Engineering and be apart of our journey towards nation building

Having won accolades nationally, evident from our NIRF and TIMES Rankings, weare striving hard to be recognized at the international level as well. In thisendeavor, ‘Industry-Readiness at The Global Level” and “Research & Innovation”are our key focus areas.
There is a huge demand for an industry-ready manpower that is conversant withthe latest technologies adopted by the industry. Therefore, it is necessary, asacademicians, that we contribute to the growth of our nation by groomingprofessionals, who are conversant with the current advances and practices in theindustry.
Building a strong industry-academia connect is a priority for me. My team offaculty members is continuously revising the engineering curriculum inconsultation with the top industry experts. Keeping the latest technologicaladvancements in mind, we are introducing the following important courses in ourB. Tech curriculum for the benefit of all students enrolled in engineering, irrespective of their chosen branch in engineering: Python Programing, Basic IoTLaboratory, Data Science for Engineers, Artificial Intelligence and MachineLearning, and Probability and Statistics.
To add to this significant change in our curriculum, the Faculty of Engineering andTechnology has done another path-breaking change in the structure of itsengineering education with the introduction of a Minor in Computer Science for allengineering students, with the exception of those already pursuing ComputerScience or Computer Engineering. This change has been made in view of the surgein demand for professionals with a background in Computer Engineering alongwith domain knowledge of other subjects in fields like Civil, Chemical, Mechanical,Polymer, etc.

MIT-WPU, with its legacy of four decades of association with
industries/universities of repute around the world, encourages
its students to undertake an International Study Tour (IST).
This tour, featuring visits to the best of the universities in the
UK, Europe and Asia, will ensure that the students are
enriched with unmatched learning.
I would strongly urge all the students to opt for this program
which will help you evolve as a world citizen coming out from
MIT World Peace University.
