Thai SportThai Boxing (Muai Thai)

Thai boxing is an ancient martial art handed down from generation to generation. The fights are commonly fierce and furious. Thai boxing is unique in which combatants use elbows, knees and bare feet as  well as gloved fists. A good contest is decided by application of techniques rather than brute force. There is a pre-fight "Wai Khru" rite with traditional Thai instruments, a Java pipe, double-ended drums and cymbals, providing musical accompaniment.

There are two types of kites, those designed for display, and those designed for fighting. The latter types are the Pak-Pao and the Chula.

Thai FoodThai cuisine refers to typical foods, beverages, and cooking

styles common to the country of Thailand. Thai Cuisine is

known for its balance of five fundamental flavors in each dish

or the overall meal - hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty and bitter.

Although popularly considered as a single cuisine, Thai food

would be more accurately described as four regional cuisines

corresponding to the four main regions of the country:

Northern, Northeastern, Central and Southern. Southern curries,

for example, tend to contain coconut milk and fresh turmeric, while

northeastern dishes often include lime juice. Thai cuisine has been

greatly influenced by the cuisine of its neighboring and nearby

countries, especially India, China, Malaysia, and Laos.

Thai Dessert

Thai desserts are mostly made of coconut fresh,

coconut cream and rice flour. Some desserts

Made from eggs and tropical fruit. Most of them

will have an attractive shape and bright color.

Desserts have been among the favorites of the

Thais for hundreds of years.
