Technology for a better society
Welcome to
CYCLE Meeting 26 MayRica Hell Hotel 09:00-17:00
Reduction and utilization of
food loss and waste
Technology for a better society 2
The Bio-economy refers to the sustainable production and conversion
of biomass into a range of food, health, fiber and
industrial products and energy.
Technology for a better society
Before 2100, the Bioeconomy will have to:
double its output of raw material, while
halving its environmental impact
“This will require not just smart science and technology but due attention will have to be given to shaping societal behaviour and adapting to changing economic realities.” BECOTEPS, EU project, 2009
Technology for a better society
Technology for a better society
This strategy proposes a comprehensive approach to
address the ecological,
environmental, energy,
food supply and natural
resource challenges that
Europe and indeed the world
are facing already today.
Technology for a better society
Total utilization of raw materials in the supply chain for food with a bio-economical perspective

Agenda
Ser dere spesielle områder vi bør ha spesielle fokus på.
Kjenner dere finansieringskilder som partnere/industri kanbenytte for spinn-off prosjekter.
Kontaktnett, er det noe vi bør utnytte bedre, arena vi bør delta på ?

Final comments and information
It has been presented many great results both relevant to industry tomorrow and which need prolonged research to become new products
It is important that we communicate the results of our results. We will
have a lot of focus on this throughout the year. Cycle will continue to focus on strengthening collaboration
between researchers but also between research and industry.
Cycle partners must demonstrate in-kind/efforts in the project by 15.6.

Thanks for your efforts so far !!!
