Planner & Turtle Lake Folder

•Students are responsible for bringing their planner & TL Folder to EVERY subject area where they will record & file daily information as required by the teacher.

•We encourage you to read the planner & review their TL Folder daily with your child. Do not remove anything from the right hand side.

•These items are an essential form of communication between home and school!

Homework•We expect kids to rely on their planner as a primary tool for guiding their completion of homework and preparing for their classes.

•If you have questions about your child’s homework, please contact the subject area teacher for details.

Late Assignments•5th graders are expected to manage their materials, assignments, and overall workload.

•Late assignments will receive a LATE SLIP, which is a form of communication and documentation between teacher, child, and/or parent. Late slips are not factored into a grade, however students will be responsible to make up the work to receive credit.

Common reasons students receive a late slip:

-Incomplete assignments

-Lost assignments

-Assignments “accidentally” left at home, yet complete

-Assignments removed from child’s folder by a caretaker

We are looking forward to a great year!
