Purpose and Getting Started

• This webquest is to build your knowledge and understanding so you can answer most or all of the questions on the pre-assessment.

• Please read each page carefully. And answer all questions that are typed in red on the answer sheet provided.

• Follow the links to find information about each topic or search out your own links to find the information- but remember to use your time wisely.

About Sources•Some questions provide links as a useful starting point. If no links are provided do your own search on Google or other search engine.

•You may go to Wikipedia but realize it is NOT always the best source of information.

• When in doubt, you should use two or more sources that agree. A site with .edu, .org, is typically more reliable.

• Google is NOT a source. A source is a website that delivers the specific information. Google is like the library-- you don’t say your source was the ‘library.’
