Water Vapor Transmission of Laminate Film for CS Packages

Uno M. Nagoya Univ.

CS need keeping wet for refresh. But laminate film may not be enough.

CS package film:PET 15μm/Al 7μm/PE 60μm

Al is originally perfect against water vapor.

But Al foil has pinhole (~ 10/m2).

And the face of seal part isn’t covered with Al.

So we have to check.

Set UpSize; 12.5×10cm2 (opera

emulsion)

Contents; sample cotton wool+water (2g) reference cotton

20 packages for each type

Storage environment; 40˚C(Yamato Program Incubator IN61)

—watching the change of weight of these packages.

Weigh these packages Electronic Balance

(AND FA-200)

max = 210g

min scale = 0.001g

—weighing Al cluster every time to check the state of the balance.

—These changes are so small that I weigh 20 packages at the same time.
