Matthew 16:18

[18] “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will

not overpower it.

Ephesians 1:22-23[22] And He put all things in

subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all

things to the church, [23] which is His body,

the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

1 Peter 2:4-5

[4]  And coming to Him as to a living stone which has

been rejected by men, but is choice and precious

in the sight of God,

1 Peter 2:4-5

[5] you also, as living stones, are being built up as a

spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up

spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

God is unhappy with those who don’t take “church

responsibilities” seriously.

Hebrews 10:24-25[24] and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love

and good deeds, [25] not forsaking our own assembling

together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one

another; …

1 Corinthians 11:22

[22] What! Do you not have houses in which to eat and

drink? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you?

In this I will not praise you.

Galatians 6:2

[2] Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill

the law of Christ.

Romans 15:5-7[5] Now may the God who gives perseverance and

encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to

Christ Jesus,

Romans 15:5-7[6] so that with one accord

you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our

Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:5-7[7]  Therefore, accept one

another, just as Christ also accepted us to

the glory of God.

Putting the Church in Perspective

Image from: christchurchdownend.com--

Ephesians 5:25[25]  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also

loved the church and gave Himself up for her,

Acts 20:28[28] “Be on guard for

yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit

has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased

with His own blood.

God loves the church – and so should we!
