Research For the research part of this task I read
a lot of magazines of a similar genre and target audience of the magazine I was planning to do. I looked at magazine’s such as Q and NME to see what type of content, pictures, colours etc. are used in these types of magazines. I based my research on the front cover, contents page and double page spread.
After reading and doing research on both magazines I decided to base mine ore like NME as it is less formal and aimed more to a target audience that I am part of so I thought it’d be easier to do work on that basis as I could just add content that would interest me personally.
I then had to research the different parts and components of a magazine. I had to learn what was on every magazine cover, contents page and double page spread to make sure my magazine had all these components and it looked more professional.
Pre - Production For pre – production work I had to write
an article for a double page spread and take some pictures for my magazine.
I then chose the three final pictures I wanted for my cover, contents page and double page spread and edited them with photoshop
