The creative industries are vital to the UK's economic success, as well as to the quality of our society and our lives. In terms of Gross Value Added, they account for over 5.6% of total UK output.
They rely on a predominantly highly-skilled workforce. The skills of the workforce need to remain world class for the industries to stay competitive. That's why it's vital for the views of employers and the self-employed to be heard, so that skills gaps and shortages are identified.
