What is UCAS?

• UCAS is the university/college admissions service

• It is the only way of applying and securing a place at a UK university or college

• You apply online through UCAS Apply

How does it work?

• Students complete online the UCAS form that contains 4 vital pieces of information:

• Personal details (DOB, address, GCSE and AS results etc) All grades have to be declared even

‘U’ grades. Some Universities request module results.

• 5 choices of university• A personal statement• An academic school reference

Your Five Choices

• You need to have selected up to 5 similar course choices

• Check and double check that the course is for you and that you meet the entry requirements

• Go and visit your choices get the prospectus• Research the location
