Introduction:When planning your career in lifeguarding, you'll have to decide in the beginning the favorite normal water environment you would like to employed at and get the required Lifeguard Course for that environment as each recognition provides training in several know-how and skills.
Holders of basic lifeguard certification is eligible to perform as lifeguards in swimming pools only. You should keep this in mind when signing up for a training course.

Waterpark Lifeguard:Holders perform as lifeguards in waterparks.
Shallow Water Lifeguard:Holders perform as lifeguards inside normal water environments which can be up to 4 to 5 foot deep, such as in kiddie pools, rivers, as well as shallow private pools.
Surf Lifeguard:Holders perform as lifeguards in surf environments like ocean beaches which is the most demanding and dangerous venue.
