From March 13th to March 19th
Rochester Castle Rochester Cathedral
Rochester
About Rochester :
- In the county of Kent, 50 km from London
- About 30,000 inhabitants
- Founded in 43 by Romans
-Tourist places : Rochester Castle, Rochester Cathedral
Monday 14th March
After a long coach trip, we finally arrived at Rochester
We met girls from the Chatham Grammar School for girls
Tuesday 15th March
Rochester Castle
-We visited Rochester Castle.- It was built in 1127 to protect the town
against the French
-Then we walked in the town- We went to High Street, the principal
street of the town.- We saw the house of Charles Dickens- A sweet shop : The Candy Bar
Wednesday 16th March
This day we visited :-the Cathedral of Rochester
that was built between 1179 and 1238.-the Guildhall Museum. This
museum shows the history of the region.
Thursday 17th March
We visited Dickens World. It’s a false 19th century village where we can learn many things about Dickens and his novels.
Friday 18th March (first part)
London Eye
Westminster Abbey
Big BenBuckingham Palace
We left from Rochester to go to London. We walked in the city and saw famous monuments.
Friday 18th March (Second part)
Trafalgar Square
Hamleys toy shop
We went shopping on the famous Regent Street (Hamleys) and Oxford Street. We entered in Selfridges, a luxury mall.We enjoyed this day in the capital.
