• Look in your traveler’s journal.

• Each person should begin with a red crayon.

• On your dotted grid, each of you will create a Sierpinski Triangle, zooming down to the third stage while following these instructions.

Sides are different lengths

Stage 0 The triangle that is drawn in dots on your

grid paper is an equilateral triangle. What is true about an equilateral triangle?

The second person will now control the mouse.

Stage 1 On the bottom side of the triangle on your

paper, use red to color the point in the middle of the side. This point is called the midpoint of a side.

of the triangle, and color them red.

using a straightedge if you would like.
