Program of accelerated development of infrastructur e, transport and communications construction

in 2011-2015

� On December 21st, 2010 was adopted Program of accelerated development of infrastructure, transport and communications construction in 2011-2015 which envisages:

� construction and reconstruction of sections of the Uzbek national highway with total length of 2306 km and objects of road infrastructure and services (240 units);

� upgrading of 1,030 km of railway tracks; � renewal of the vehicle fleet of intermodal logistics centers (212 units);

� total amount of investment exceeds $ 6.9 billion, including foreign investments and loans of $ 3.2 billion

� On 22nd of April, 2009 was adopted Program on development of Uzbek national highway for the period up to 2014 with total length of 1501 km, including:

� Beyneu-Kungrad-Bukhoro-Navoi-Samarqand-Tashkent-Andijan (Е-40)

� Bukhoro-Alat (М-37)

� Bukhora-Karshi-Guzar-Termez & Samarqand-Guzar(М-39)

Flying fleet of Uzbekistan Airways

� Nowadays flying fleet of Uzbekistan Airways consist of 37 modern planes (Boeing, Airbus, IL, RJ)

� 9 more new aircrafts are planed to be purchased starting from 2011

� At present 2 to 3 weekly regular cargo flights to Bangkok, Delhi, Mumbai, Istanbul and Dubai are operated from Navoi airport. Organization of 3 weekly regular flights on route Navoi-Moscow is subject of discussions.
