TLC3 Campus Registration/Distribution

Procedures

• ALL students who have or want to be issued a district iPad/iPod Touch are REQUIRED to complete TLC3 Registration online via ZippSlip.com.

• All students who currently have a device must be registered with the TLC3 program for the 2014-2015 school year by September 30, 2014.

• We will need to start picking up their devices if they choose not to participate this year.

All TLC3 campus support staff needs to be familiar with the TLC3 Staff Procedures webpage located online at each campus home page under Teachers & Staff/Staff Resources/TLC3Staff Procedures

Parents must have a username/password with a valid email address.

Consolidate Skyward family accounts, if necessary. Once consolidated, please email assigned Instructional Technology Specialist, so the same can be done in ZippSlip.

Zippslip Accounts

Students will not receive a device if they have an outstanding balance incurred before June 1, 2014Parents will receive Outstanding Balance notices via ZippSlip. They will need a debit, credit or pre-paid card to take care of balance.

Please use the ZippSlip Registration and Payment Information file located on the TLC3 Staff Procedures page to answer questions regarding a balance. Column P = Balance Due. Use the Issue Date for Charge in Column Q as the date the charge was incurred. All charges incurred before June 1, 2014 must be paid in order to receive a device this year.

Online Payments via ZippSlip – NO CASH PAYMENTS

• Option 1 – Security Deposit

• Option 2 – Replacement Benefit Program, NOTE: 2013-2014 RBP coverage will terminate on

September 30, 2014• Minimum TLC3 Registration Payment of $10 must

be made online with a credit, debit or pre-paid card. NO gift cards. Outstanding balances are due by April 30, 2015.

• Parents should have proof of payment via mobile device or printed receipt.

• Last day for registration is April 30, 2015.

Registration via ZippSlip Registration will open on 9/3/14

• Verify student does not have a balance incurred before June 1, 2014. Use ZippSlip Registration and Payment Information file.

• Verify proof of payment either using the ZippSlip Registration and Payment Information file or parent’s printed/online receipt.

• Verify student does not have a device in use on TipWeb-IT.

• Students with no balance prior to June 1, 2014 and with proof of registration/payment can receive their device, charger and cover.

Distribution

• Must return their iPod Touch device in order to receive an iPad.

• Alternatively, the campus can mark the device as Stolen in TipWeb (with notes) AND charge the student in TipWeb accordingly for the missing device and the case.

• Then, issue the iPad. Explain to parent that once the device is returned, the charges will be removed. Always give parent a receipt from TipWeb when accepting equipment.

NOTE 1st grade students

• Have several computer stations to assist parents with creating an Apple ID and/or an email account, if needed.

• Configuration instructions located on the TLC3 Staff Procedures web page.

Configuration

• Withdrawing students – have parents fill out form online. Form can be found on the TLC3 Staff Procedures web page.

• Students terminating their participation in TLC3 will fill out the refund form, as well.

• No refunds for Option 2.
