Description: Participants competed a 6-week online professional development course to learn how Curriculum
Pathways can serve as a resource partner-assisting educators in the achievement of academic goals by providing
resources built the was people learn; addressing higher-order learning objectives; enabling the differentiation of
instruction; and integrating 21st century skills with core subjects.
This asynchronous course incorporates a variety of assignment: working through resources as students,evaluation instruction, implementing lesson in the classroom, participating in cooperative learning activities andonline discussions, and creating portfolio artifacts (capstone project)
Course activities and assignment demonstrate how Curriculum Pathways resources can enhance instruction and
student learning. Weekly assignment, highlighting a type of resource, allow participants to become familiar withthe structure and features of Curriculum Pathways.
Through the course, participants learned to:
Locate resources by type, topic, and related standard, * Identify the type of resource best-suited to a particularpurpose, * Use Lesson Guides to determine appropriate match of resources to content standards and instructionalobjectives, * Utilize features such as Assign, Flags, Search, and Print/Save/E-mail, * Develop assessments,*Address various levels of students learning, * Integrate resources to introduce a concept or topic, *Reinforce,enhance, and remediate student learning.
