THE ASK
This is a general problem in every organization
Whether you want to get ahead or simply keep your
job, you need to maintain your professionalism at the
office at all times. Doing otherwise will give your boss
the impression that you don't care about your work,
the company, or her.
PRIMARY
CHALLENGE
When you were made a leader, you
weren‟t given a crown; you were given
the responsibility to bring out the best in
others.
Primary challenge for any boss:
Late walk-ins
If you are a serial late comer to the
office, you will definitely find yourself on
this list. No one likes being taken
advantage of and with your „punctuality‟,
you might be doing exactly
Late walk-ins:
Lying is not
good
If the job is not done, don‟t fib about it. If
you are caught, it will be your fault.
Lying about work completion:
Poor
Teamwork
A team that laughs and works together
stays together, so make sure you get
along with your colleagues.
Poor Teamwork:
Social media
addict
You might love Facebook, Instagram and
Twitter, but keep that our of the office.
You are not being paid to flit hours away
on them.
Being a social media addict:
Procrastination
„Don‟t put off for tomorrow what you can
do today‟ is also a numero Uno work
rule. Shunning work onto the back
burner may be excused once or twice,
but not every day.
Procrastination:
Dress code
If your workplace says smart casuals,
keep away the flip flops. Most offices like
employees to stick to work wear rules.
Dressing inappropriately:
We feeling
You may have accomplishments to boot,
but no office likes a person who regularly
crows about his or her little victories.
Save the self credits for year-end
assessments and think more about
working cohesively, as a group.
Saying too much “I” instead of “We”:
Being
personal
Never ask for personal information of
either the boss or your colleagues. This
will be seen as crossing professional
boundaries and get you negative points.
Being personal
No
complaints
Sure, everyone has a work grouse now
and then, but constantly harping about
how the print machine is not working or
how the net is slow, will make you look a
nag. Instead, find a solution to the
problem yourself or deal with it like
everyone else is.
Constant complaining:
PRIMARY
CHALLENGE
“Know your
Boss”
“You must learn how to bravely and
clearly communicate the details of your
assignments so that your boss is more
aware. You cannot assume that your
boss understands the hours associated
with assignments”
Primary challenge is to express:
Thank
you.
Best
wishes.
