Uranus & The South Node Full Moon Meditaon
Dear Friends, for the first time ever, we are experiencing real winter
here in Munich. Nothing like what many are experiencing in the United
States however. Nonetheless, I anxiously await the arrival of Spring!
After last month's article about Mercury Retrograde, we were thrilled to
hear from many of you who used the early days of this retrograde
period to revisit language in your biography, your marketing materials
or on your web-site. We hope the bounties of your efforts are fulfilled!
Mercury will remain retrograde until February 11, 2015.
This month, we are writing about a transit that occurs only once every
15 years or so: transiting Uranus conjunct the transiting South Node.
This transits provides an excellent opportunity to understand and integrate the energies of
our past better.
Also, we have included a link to this month's full moon meditation for this evening,
February 3.
Blessings and peace,
Scott and Sappho Wolfram

Introduction
Awakening The Past & Discovering Yourself https://ui.constantcontact.com/visualeditor/visual_editor_preview...

We all have wondered about our past lives. We would love to know where we have lived
and the role we have fulfilled in the past. But, past lives can be a tricky subject. It is not like
looking in the Encyclopedia Britannica, finding our page, and reading about our karmic
past. Sorry, wrong generation... We are not able to Google our soul's history. We have to
find other sources to uncover our karmic past.
One source of information are our own experiences, particularly experiences that are
clearly powerful. There are some experiences that give us a powerful message that we are
experiencing a place, person or situation that is connected to our karmic past. These
experiences provide a feeling or an insight that is more powerful than normal situations
and feels like a glimmer that says, "Take a closer look, there might be something
interesting for you to explore here". Alternatively, these experiences can feel like bright
flashing lights that say, "Pay attention, this is important!"
In this newsletter, we will explore a transit that is a key transit that opens us up to
experiences connected to our karmic past lifetimes: transiting Uranus conjunct the
transiting South Node, which will be exact on February 3, 2015 (Mean Nodes, not True
Nodes) and will be in orb or in effect through mid-March 2015.
Important Note:
This article is about past life energies. For those who do not believe in
past lives, you can focus on aspects of your childhood from this lifetime.
So, in other words, aspects from your childhood associated with
memories of things that came naturally or knowledge that felt innate to
you that, over time, for one reason or another, the fire went out whether
you left them behind or you were discouraged by society and family to
leave them behind. So, think back to your childhood about what came
naturally, what made you most happy, what felt so very special about you
- those are the threads from your past that you can use as your focus for
reading this article.
The South Node's Role - In our Birth Chart and in Transit
In our birth chart, the South Node contains the core themes from our past lifetimes, or our
karmic past and past memory. Karma has a couple of meanings. First, our karma is the
thoughts, words and actions that we have repeated over and over. As a result, our karma
in past lives creates our habits and skills in this life. Second, karma represents the results
that we experience in this lifetime that are the natural outcome of the thoughts, words and
actions we have taken over and over in past lifetimes, and most importantly in this lifetime.
The South Node in transit reflects the karmic themes from past lifetimes that are meant to
be experienced at this particular point on our journey in this life. The South Node tells us,
that the events that unfold now were meant to unfold at this point in time. Related to our
karmic past, these events have two alternative types of experiences:
First, events energized from the transiting South Node can be connected to either
the re-emerging of memories and experiences that allow us to recognize and / or
deepen our existing skills and gifts. They can point us in the direction that allows us

to fulfill the potential we have developed in past lifetimes.
Second, events energized from the transiting South Node can remind us of the
karmic blockages from past lifetimes. These events come into our awareness at this
time, because we now have the potential to overcome and establish new responses
to old karma and our less favorable habits.
We should not view our karma as good or bad. We should not judge ourselves in this way.
We should also not view ourselves as subject or fated to this karma. Rather, be the
architect of our life and embrace your karma wholly. Know that some aspects of your
karma need to be healed, while other aspects of your karma need to be reinforced by your
daily actions.
Uranus, the 'Great Awakener'
Transiting Uranus Conjunct the Transiting South Node
Uranus is known as the "Great Awakener", which has a few key meanings:
First, Uranus provides sudden events that awaken us to our true, individual
potential.
Second, Uranus opens our awareness to new ways of accessing information and
knowledge.
In this regard, Uranus is connected to our long term memory and our ability to access the
memories of our distant past. Finally, Uranus is also known for promoting change and
freedom. He wants you to be liberated from the restrictions that keep you from fulfilling
your dharma, or your highest potential in life (as represented by the North Node of the
Moon).

With transiting Uranus conjunct the transiting South Node, the "Great Awakener" brings
the potential to have unexpected experiences that awaken us to memory or awareness of
our karmic past. Be aware of any sudden "Ah Ha" moments when an insight suddenly puts
key aspects of your life into a new context. You could say, "Don't be surprised if you are
surprised!".
Sudden insights about our past are most helpful WHEN two things take place:
First, when you have a new degree of clarity about the journey your soul has been
on, whether it be about your gifts, your deeper identity, or the blockages that can
hold you back from achieving your goals.
Second, when the new insight makes more clear the path you are meant to take
moving forward. So, altering responses and modifying unhelpful habits.
Here are some ways these connections might occur:
Viewing art, listening to music or reading a book about a particular topic of period in
history and feeling profoundly connected
Traveling to a specific location and being overwhelmed by the memory and
connections you sense
Meeting someone who immediately connects with you by connecting with the
threads of your thoughts and bringing context and clarity
Who is impacted?
Everyone has the potential to be impacted. Uranus and the South Node will fall in a
particular house or area of your birth chart. In your chart, the house and the themes
associated with that house will be impacted.
However, like all transits, some people will be more powerfully impacted than others. In
particular:
Birth charts with planets or angles between 9 and 17 Aries will be most impacted.
Birth chart with planets or angles between 9 and 17 Cancer, Libra or Capricorn will
be strongly impacted.
What can you do?
Transiting Uranus conjuncts the transiting South Node roughly every 15 years. So, this
transit does not happen all that often. It is the only time it will take place in Aries in our
lifetimes. This is definitely a transit that you want to take advantage of by simply being
present and aware and open.
Post Script... here are two examples from my travels that have opened me up to
understanding my past better!

2003 - Temple of the Vestal Virgins, Roman Forum
Wolfram von Eschenbach (circa 1200), was a knight, musician,
poet and astrologer. His epic "Parzival", is known as the
alchemical or spiritual version of the quest for the Holy Grail.
When I encountered his birthplace and museum, the power of the
connections I had with Wolfram changed my awareness of myself,
my soul's journey, and the path I am meant to follow in this life.
Wow. This was a powerful day!
The House of the Vestals and the Temple
of Vesta are always my first stop in the
Forum of Rome.
From the first moment I encountered the
temple and sanctuary, I felt totally at
home. When I am here, I simply feel a
quiet, inner calm and radiance.
The transiting Uranus and South Node
are hitting my natal Vesta, which makes
it all the more powerful for me to write
this.
