First: See if you have any pre-existing data by searching for your business name, address, and or phone number. If it pops up, then click it! If your business doesn’t come up, then use the “Add Your Business” link on the bottom.

If creating a new page, simply fill in all the business information! MAKE SURE IT’S ACCURATE!

Once inputted, submit it!

Next, you’ll have to verify ownership of the page. You’ll either have the option of having an automated message call the number at the address and give you a code, which you’ll input on the next step. If you are creating a BRAND NEW business with no pre-existing data, you can only have postcard sent with the code.

As you can see, if you don’t verify your ownership of a Google My Business page, then you can’t make any changes to the page.

Optimizing Your Business Listing

After verifying the page, EDIT the page! Make sure to add these 5 things:

1. Photos2. Accurate business description3. Business hours4. Business categories/services5. Think of a review strategy (collecting reviews)

- Post from the dashboard here! Treat it like a Facebook.

- See how your page is doing (views, interaction, etc) with insights.

- Manage your reviews here.
