BOOK CLEANING FOR SPREAD THE WORD NEVADA

KEY CLUBBERS...“GIVING BACK TO THECOMMUNITY ANY WAY WE CAN”

The Spread the Word Book Cleaning was an amazing event that allowed us to revisit our childhoods while also helping out with an important cause. It was so fun that the time flew by and the event was over before we really wanted it to be! We also bonded as we shared memories and stories about the books we memories and stories about the books we cleaned. The best events are always the ones that combine service and enjoyment. Our club will definitely volunteer with Spread the Word again!

With school fast approaching and for some, upcoming SATs, it is quite evident that July and August have been stressful, studious, and essentially busy months for key clubbers. Despite this, WCTA Key Club members still managed to dedicate part of their time to service. To end the July month, WCTA Key Club volunteered at the Ronald McDonald house. Here, members cooked a healthy and delicious dinner meal consisting of two pizzas varying in toppings, sweet potato fries, and gluten-free brownies pizzas varying in toppings, sweet potato fries, and gluten-free brownies for the families living in the house. On behalf of the attendees, club bulletin editor Anna Yang stated, “With this volunteer opportunity we were able to work as a team, and grow stronger as a board.”
