■ BIM (Building Information Modelling) ‘level two’ which is defined by

PAS 1192-2:2013 as the “Process of designing, constructing or

operating a building or infrastructure asset using electronic object

oriented information”.

We can build the building on the

computer before we build it in real life & we can test

everything in advance

Government pledged to reduce construction costs by up to 20%

Government require fully collaborative 3D BIM (with all project and asset information, documentation and data being electronic) as a minimum by 2016

Information Exchange

BIM Execution Plan (BEP)

■ Plan prepared by the suppliers to explain how the information

modelling aspects of a project will be carried out

■ Pre-contract BEPs are assessed by Information Manager as part of

PQQ process

■ Post-contract BEP provides the methodologies of supply chain

adherence to the EIR
