The Dust Bowl, The Great Depression
The Dust Bowl started in the 1930’s and lasted about a decade. The Dust Bowl took place in parts of Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and Kansas.
During the Dust Bowl little kids had to do a lot of work if they lived on a farm. They would also
have to share food with other people.
Citizens from the Dust Bowl had to wear gas masks to protect their lungs. It would also
help them breathe very well.
Over 500,000 houses were destroyed by the Dust Bowl. The Dust Bowl forced thousands of
people to leave their homes.
After the Dust Bowl everything around was filled with sand and animals around were also
dead.
The Great Depression
The Great Depression was a period of worldwide economic Depression. It also left
Thousands of people poor.
The Great Depression left many people
without a job. They couldn’t buy food.
Many people thought that the Stock Market Crash was blamed for the Great Depression
After The Great Depression people started getting better jobs, and better places to live.
