In this day and age, bullying is very common, but new studies show that it is taking serious psychological tolls on its victims.

Types of Bullying• Verbal Bullying• Social exclusion, isolation• Physical– hitting, kicking, shoving
• Slander– false accusations, rumors
• Racial• Sexual• Cyber
Bullying by the Numbers• About 35 percent of kids have been
threatened online.
• About 42 percent of kids have been bullied while online with one in four being verbally attacked more than once.
• Only 1 in 10 kids tell an adult about being a cyber victim.
Bullying by The numbers• 1 in 10 adolescents or teens have had embarrassing or damaging pictures taken of themselves without their permission, often using cell phone cameras • Only 1 in 5 incidents are reported• Cyber bullying affects all races• Cyber bullying victims are more likely to have low self esteem and to consider suicide
