The Androgynous Body

On the left I am exploring changing or stripping the gender away from my housemates, I sat in the living room and tried to feminise or masculinise each face.

The above pair where the first sketches that I got a sense of the Alien Androgyne and despite both references coming from fashion magazines (with more hair) these sketches look straight from a sci-fi concept page.

Here I am observing photographs and trying to warp the images into the opposite gender

Visiting the Cairo Museum, although photography was not allowed I did these sketches from the ruined tomb of ‘Akhenaton’

This speed-painting is my original idea which became expanded and developed into my final artefact.

The rough pattern I was experimenting with features the story of ‘One out of Two by Aristophanes.
