The Great Frog was founded in 1972 by Paterson rileyand his partner, carol Lehtonen.
The Great Frog started a revolution in carnaby Street after the swinging 60s. A dark, ominous shop producing chunky silver jewellery,
The Great Frog appealed to a niche clientele of rockers and bikers, and it quickly became the go-to shop for high-end alternative jewellery.
over the years, The Great Frog has amassed customers and fans including ozzy osbourne, Slash, Arctic Monkeys and most recently Jay Z.
today, The Great Frog is owned by reino Lehtonen-riley, Paterson and carol’s son. reino uses a traditional method of jewellery design by
hand-carving his designs into wax, and to this day, everything is still produced by hand in the basement of the London store.
The Great Frog now have stores in Los Angeles and new York and sell in dover Street Market in London, new York and Japan.
