Taras Shevchenko was born in 1814, the village Moryntsi province of Kiev, Ukrainian poet, writer and artist.
Shevchenko's literary heritage is considered the foundation of the Ukrainian literature and in many ways the modern literary Ukrainian language.
Years 1840-1847 - the best in Shevchenko's life. During this period, his poetic talent blossomed.
