Description Textaforme is a product sold in rolls measuring 1.6 meters wide by 50 linear meters long for a total of 80 m2.
Use (installation) Textaforme is a simple product that’s easy to install. It can be used according to two methods. For wood formwork it can be attached using staples or adhesive glue such as 3M Super 77 or the equivalent. For steel formwork, it can be attached using an adhesive such as 3M 77 or the equivalent. NOTE: SCRAPE ALL DEBRIS FROM THE SURFACE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION AND MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN AND FREE FROM ALL SUBSTANCES SUCH AS FORMWORK OIL. THE LINER MUST BE HELD TAUGHT TO PREVENT CREASING WHEN CONCRETE IS POURED.
Concrete pouring Prevent splashing on prepared liner to maintain the desired aesthetic appearance.
Curing Textaforme can be also used as a liner for water-cured concrete. Water curing must be carried out according to instructions provided by the engineer or project representative. DO NOT APPLY CHEMICAL PRODUCTS TO THE LINER.
Protection If necessary, protect the liner from bad weather following installation.

TEXTAFORME
AESTHETIC – DURABLE – RELIABLE The following characteristics were compared: a) hardness of the surface tested by sclerometer (ASTM C 805) b) surface bubbling measured by an image analyzer c) direct traction resistance (CAN//CSA A2.2 -6B) d) resistance to peeling (ASTM C672) e) sealed against chloride ions (ASTM C1202) f) resistance from penetration by chloride ions (AASHTO T259) g) The results obtained were:

TEXTAFORME
AESTHETIC – DURABLE – RELIABLE Results obtained so far indicate that: a) the presence of the liner eliminated bubbling. b) the liner helped significantly reduce penetration by chloride ions. c) the liner had no effect on the other characteristics that were
evaluated. Conclusions: Use of the TEXTAFORME liner provides an aesthetic benefit as well as added resistance to penetration by chloride ions. Laboratory: Terratech Division of SNC – Lavalin Environnement Inc. 275 rue Benjamin-Hudon Saint-Laurent, Québec Canada H4N 1J1

Recommendations: • Prior to installation, scrape all debris from surface (concrete, sawdust, etc.) and substances
(formwork oil, etc.). • The TEXTAFORME liner must be clean and dry before installation. • Protect the TEXTAFORME liner from bad weather until concrete is poured, pour concrete as soon
as possible following liner installation. • The TEXTAFORME liner must be held taught to prevent creasing when concrete is poured. • Avoid splashing concrete onto prepared liner in order to maintain the desired aesthetic appearance. • TEXTAFORME can be used as a liner for water-cured concrete. Follow engineer’s or project
manager’s instructions for timeframe required for water curing procedure. • Do not apply any chemical product to the liner (curing or other). Wood formwork
Materials required: Staples or 3-M Super 77 or equivalent adhesive
Step 1: Scrape concrete or other debris including substances such as formwork
oil, etc. from surface. Step 2: Begin by using staples or 3-M Super 77 adhesive or the equivalent to
attach the liner to one end of the back or edge of the formwork. Step 3: Stretch the liner to ensure that it is taught. Step 4: Apply sufficient staples or 3-M super 77 adhesive or its equivalent while working towards the end opposite the end that was attached first. Note: the distance between staples or the application of 3-M super
77 adhesive or its equivalent can vary between 100 and 300 mm
.

Step 5: Run one hand over the surface to maintain uniformity and prevent
creasing. Step 6: To change angles, (e.g. track guides or other), staple or glue the liner
along the entire variation. Step 7: Protect the TEXTAFORME liner from bad weather or chemical
substances. When pouring concrete avoid splashing onto prepared liner. Pour concrete as soon as possible after installing the liner.
Step 8: The TEXTAFORME liner can be removed by hand.
Steel formwork:
Materials required: 3-M Super 77 adhesive or its equivalent Step 1: Scrape concrete to remove all debris from the surface including
substances such as formwork oil, etc. Step 2: Apply sufficient 3-M Super 77 Adhesive or the equivalent to all ends and
to any angle variations in the formwork. Step 3: Begin by attaching the liner to one end of the formwork and spraying the
3-M Super 77 Adhesive or its equivalent while working towards the opposite end. Run one hand over the liner to prevent creasing. Note:
spray sufficient adhesive to ensure proper adhesion. Step 4: Protect the TEXTAFORME liner from bad weather and chemical
substances. To prevent creasing, run one hand over the surface to maintain uniformity. When pouring concrete avoid splashing onto prepared liner. Pour concrete as soon as possible after installing the liner.
Step 5: The TEXTAFORME liner can be removed by hand.
