ì  UK  -­‐  Poten4al  RE  savings  in  the  range  from  €26  billion  to  €65  billion,  depending  on  the  level  of  investment.    

ì  Germany  -­‐  poten4al  savings  of  €48  billion  per  annum  due  to  material  efficiency  efforts  in  companies  from  the  manufacturing  industry  in  Germany

Conclusions    

ì  Resource  efficiency  is  cost  effec4ve  

ì  At  MICRO  level  RE  saves  money  in  individual  homes,  shops,  hotels,  hospitals,  schools,  and  factories.      

ì  At  a  MESO  or  sectoral  level  large  savings  can  be  made  ensuring  our  businesses  and  industry  are  more  compe44ve    

ì  At  a  MACRO  or  na4onal  level,  huge  savings  can  be  made,  making  Ireland  more  compe44ve,  crea4ng  jobs  and  making  us  greener,  doing  more  with  less.
